fell on his neck
And
the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
***
And
the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou
hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field;
upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat - all the days of thy life:
***
And
a
river - went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence - it was parted, and became
- into four
heads.
And
the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth:
and
Ham is the father of Canaan.
***
It
is not good - that the man should be alone; I will make him - an
- help meet
for him.
***
And Noah went in, and his sons,
and his wife, and his sons'
wives - with him, into the ark,
because of the waters of the flood.
**
Now
Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had - an
handmaid,
an - Egyptian,
whose name was Hagar.
**
And
Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now,
the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my
maid;
it
may
be that I may obtain children
by
her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
***
This
is
my
covenant, which ye
shall keep, between
me and you and thy seed - after
thee;
Every man child among you
shall be circumcised.
**
And
the daughter of Pharaoh
came
down to
wash herself at the river;
and her
maidens
walked
along by the river's side; and when she saw the ark among the flags, she sent her maid to fetch it.
And
when she had opened it,
she saw the child: and, behold, the babe wept. And she
had
compassion on
him, and said, This is one
of
the He-brews'
children.
*****
But
when he was yet a great way off,
- - his father saw him, and had compassion,
****
And
Rebekah
took goodly raiment of
her eldest son Esau, which were with her - in the house,
and put them upon Jacob her younger son:
**
Among
the smooth
stones of the stream - is thy portion;
they,
they
are
thy
lot:
even
to them hast thou - poured a drink
offering, - thou hast offered a meat offering.
Should
I receive comfort
in these?
Upon a
lofty and high mountain hast thou set thy bed: even thither went-est thou up to offer sacrifice.
**
If
thou
doest
well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not
well,
- sin lieth at the door.
*
Behind
the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance:
for thou hast discovered thyself to an-other than me,
and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them;
thou lovedst
- their bed where thou saw-est it.
**
And
she put the skins
of
the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck:
And
she gave the savoury meat and the bread,
which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob.
******
and
ran,
and fell on his neck,
and
kissed
him.
