Two sons VII

a living soul

And every plant of the field before - it - was in the earth, and every herb of the field before - it - grew: for the Lord God had not caused - it - to rain upon the earth, - - and there was not a man to till the ground. . . .
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
***
And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her:
*
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Then said My unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing - I know not a man?
*
I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: - for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
*
So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spake a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.
*****
And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, - - his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
