Time thoughts VI

Time thoughts

God gave Noah the rainbow sign
no mo’ water,
the fire next time

****************

And they were both naked,
*
And God said,
Let us make man in our image,
*
man in our image
*
naked
*
after our likeness:
**
and his wife,
and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind
**
And what will ye do in the day of visitation,
and in the desolation which shall come from far?
to whom will ye flee for help?
and where will ye leave your glory?
***
But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism,
he
said
unto them,
O generation of vipers,
who hath warned you - to flee from the wrath to come?
Bring forth therefore fruits meet - for repentance:. . .
. . . And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down,
and cast into the fire.
**
Ye shall know them by their fruits.
**
she took of the fruit thereof, and - did eat,
and gave also unto her husband with her;
and
he
did eat.
**
And God said,
Let us . . .
*
And the eyes of them both were opened,
**
These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created,
***
and they knew - that they were naked;
**
He breaketh me with breach upon breach,
he runneth upon me like a giant.
I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin,
**
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground,
***
and defiled my horn in the dust.
***
and they sewed fig leaves together, . . .
**
And Shem and Japheth took a garment,
**
. . .and made themselves aprons
**
, ,  the man and his wife,
***
and laid it upon both their shoulders,
and went backward,
**
Therefore shall a man leave his father - and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife:

and they shall be one flesh.
**
but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
***
 . . .Therefore shall a man leave his father . . .
***
and covered the nakedness of their father;
**
And Noah
began
to be an husbandman,
and

he planted a vineyard:
**
Do men gather grapes - of thorns,
**
and they sewed fig leaves together,
***
or figs of thistles?
***
the man and - (and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind) - his wife,
**
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife:

and they shall be one flesh.

And they were both naked,
the man and his wife,
and
were not as – ham
**********
And the name of the third river is Hid-dek-el:
that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria.
And the fourth river is Euphrates.
**
And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the - day: . . .
**
and let them be for signs,
and for seasons,
and for days,
and years:
***
So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord.
*
and Adam and his - wife hid themselves . . .
**
And his sons - went and feasted in their houses,
every one his day;
**
And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.
And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron:
and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.
***
and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.
And it was so,
when the days of - their feasting were gone about,
that Job sent and sanctified them,
and rose up early in the morning,
and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all:
for Job said,
It may be that my sons have sinned,
and cursed God in their hearts.
Thus did Job continually.

Time thoughts V

Time thoughts

And God called the light Day,

and the darkness he called Night.
And
the
evening
- and the morning were the first day.
**
And behold at eveningtide trouble;
and before the morning - he is not.
This is the portion of them that spoil us,
and the lot of them that rob us.
Woe to the land shadowing with wings,
which is beyond the rivers of Ethiopia:
***
***************

And God
said,
Let there be a fir - mament in the midst of the waters,
**
and God divided the light from - the darkness.
***
and let it divide the waters from - the waters.
**
And God
made

the
fir-mament,
*

and divided the waters
which were under the fir-mament - from the waters which were above the fir-mament:
and
it
was
so.

**
God created the heaven - -  and the earth.
***
And God
said,
Let the earth bring forth grass,
the herb yielding seed,
and the fruit tree yielding fruit - after - his kind, . . .
. . . whose seed is - in
-itself,
upon the earth:
and it was
so.
**
And every plant of the field before it was in the earth,
and every herb of the field before it grew:
for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth,
and there was not a man to till the ground.
But there went up a mist from the earth,
and watered the whole face of the ground.
**
And she again bare his brother Abel.
And Abel was a keeper of sheep, . . .
And Abel,
he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.
And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: . . .
. . . and it came to pass,
when they were in the field,
that Cain rose up against Abel his brother,
and slew him.
**
And God said,
Let us make man in our image,
after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air,
**
And Adah bare Jabal:
he was the father of such as dwell in tents,
and of such as have cattle.
***
and over the cattle, and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
**
And God said,
Let there be light:
***
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him;
male and female created he them.
**
And God saw the light,
***
And God - blessed them,

**
and God divided the light from the darkness.
***
and God said unto them,
Be fruitful,
and multiply,
and replenish the earth,
and subdue it:
and have dominion over the fish of the sea,
***
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul.
**
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam,
**
And it came to pass at the end of two full years,

that Pharaoh dreamed:
and,

behold,
he stood by the river.

And,
behold,

there came up out of the river seven well favoured kine and fatfleshed;
and they fed in a meadow.

And,
behold,

seven other kine came up after them out of the river,
ill favoured - and leanfleshed;
and - stood by the other kine upon the brink of the river.
And the ill favoured - and leanfleshed kine did eat up the seven well favoured and fat kine.
So Pharaoh awoke.
*
Joseph
dreamed
*

And he slept - and dreamed . . .
*
And it shall come to pass in that day,
that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of - his people,
which shall be left,
from Assyria,
and from Egypt,
and from Pathros,
and from Cush,
and from Elam,
and from Shinar,
and from Hamath,
and from the islands of the sea.
**

. . . the second time:
and,
behold,

seven ears of corn came up upon one stalk,
rank and good.
And,
behold,

seven thin ears - and blasted with the east wind sprung up after them.
And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank - and full ears.
And - Pharaoh awoke,
and,
behold,
it was a dream.

***
and he slept:
and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh - instead thereof;
**
And Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphnathpaaneah;
and he gave him to wife
Asenath the daughter
of
Potipherah priest of On.
***
And the rib,
which the Lord God had taken from man,
made he a woman, . . .
**
And he said unto the woman,
Yea,
hath
God said,
Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
**
. . . and
brought her unto the man.
***
And Adam said,
This is now bone of my bones,
and flesh of - my flesh:
she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
**
And unto Adam
he
said, . . .
***
. . . In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread,
till thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou - taken:
for dust thou art,
and unto dust shalt thou return.
***
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife:
and they shall be one flesh. . .
***

Shem and Japheth

Shem the (Ethiopian)  wife of Noah, mother of Ham, was descendant of Naamah,
Japheth the brother of Ham is mother was  descendent of Adah,
Shem and Japheth took a garment,
and laid it upon both their shoulders,
**
but for Adam there was not found - an help meet for him.
***
and went backward,
and covered the nakedness of their father;
and their faces were backward,
and they saw not their father's nakedness.
**
And they were both naked,
the man and - his wife,
and
were not – as- ham -ed
