Let there be light
When
his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light
- I walked through darkness; As I was in the
days of my youth, - when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle; - When the - Almighty was yet with me, - when my children were about me; - When I washed my
steps
with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil; - When I
went out to the gate through the city, - when I prepared my seat in the street!
The young men - saw me,
- and
hid them-selves:
and the - aged arose,
and stood up.
The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand - on
- their mouth.
The nobles held their peace, - and their - tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth. - When the ear heard me,
- then it
-
blessed me; and - when the eye saw me,
it gave witness to me: - Because I
delivered the poor that cried, and the fatherless, - and him that had none to help him.
For
- want and famine - they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in - former time - desolate and waste. Who cut up mallows by the bush-es, and juniper roots for their meat.
Neither
do men - light a cand-le, and put it
under
a bush-el, but on a candlestick; and it
giveth
light unto all that are - in the house.
Let your light - so - shine be-fore men, that they may see your good works, - and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Fulfil her week, and we
will
give thee this also
for the
service which thou shalt serve with me
yet
seven - other years.
And
Jacob did so, - and fulfilled - her week:
Think
not
that I
am -
come to destroy the
law, - or the prophets: I am - not - come to destroy, - but to fulfil.
and there was not a man to till the ground.
Turn
- from him, that he may rest, - till he shall accomplish, as an hireling, - his day.
And
Abraham ran unto the herd,
and fetched a calf - tender and good,
and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it.
Leah was - tender
eyed;
And
in the vine were three branches:
and it was as
though it budded, and her blossoms - shot forth; and the clusters there-of brought forth -ripe grapes:
For
there - is hope of a
tree, if it be cut down, that it
will sprout again,
and that the
- tender branch
In the sweat of thy face shalt - thou eat bread, - till thou re-turn unto the ground; - for
out of it wast thou taken:
And
the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?
Then Satan answered
the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the
earth, and from walking up and
down in it.
There-fore the Lord God sent him - forth - from
the garden
of Eden, to till the ground - from whence - he was taken.
For
verily- I say unto you, - Till heaven - and earth pass, -one -
jot or one - tittle shall in no wise
pass from the law,
till all be ful-filled.
