The father shall be divided
against the son,
and the son
against the father;
the mother against the daughter,
and the daughter against the mother;
the mother in law against her daughter in law,
and the daughter in
law against her mother in
law.

Also he said,
Bring the veil that
thou hast upon thee,
and hold it.
And when she held it,
he measured six measures of
barley,

And the rib,
which
the Lord God had taken from man,
made
he a workman,
and brought her unto the man.
And Adam said,
This is now bone of my bones,
and flesh of
my flesh:
*
she shall be
called Woman,
because
she was taken out
of Man.

and laid it on her:
and she went into
the city.

Think not that I
am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace,
but
a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father,
and the daughter against - her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
And a man's foes shall
be they of his own household.
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me:
and he
that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
And he
that taketh not his cross, and
followeth after me,
is not worthy of me.
He that findeth his life
shall lose it:
and he
that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that
sent me.
He that receiveth
a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward;
and he that receiveth
a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.
And whosoever shall
give to drink unto one of these little ones
a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple,
verily I say unto you,
he shall - in no wise
- lose his reward.

Also he said,
Bring the veil
that thou hast upon thee,
and hold it.
And when she
held it,
he
measured six measures of
barley, and laid it on
her:
and she
went into the city.
And when she
came to her mother in law,
she said,
Who art thou,
my daughter?
And she told her
all that the
man had done to her.
And she said,
These
six measures
of barley gave he me;
for he said
to me,
Go not empty unto
thy mother in law.
Then said she,
Sit
still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter
will fall: for the man will not be in
rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there:
and, behold,
the kinsman
of whom Boaz spake came by;
unto
whom he said,
Ho,
such a one!
turn
aside, sit down here.
And he turned aside,
and sat
down.
