Thou
prevailest for ever against him,
and he passeth:
thou
changest
his
countenance,
and
sendest
him away.
His
sons come to honour,
and he
knoweth it not;
and they are brought low,
but he
perceiveth it not of them.
But his
flesh upon him shall
have pain,
and his soul
within him
shall mourn.

the
perfect man,
and
behold
the upright:
for
the
end
of
that man
is
peace.
But
the transgressors shall be destroyed together:
the
end of the wicked shall be cut off.

And
the Lord
Lamech
said
unto
Noah,
Come
thou
and
all
thy house
into
the ark;
for
thee
have
I
seen righteous
before me in this
generation.
*
And
ye
shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin;
and
it
shall
be a token of the covenant betwixt me and
you.
*
But put forth
thine hand now,
and touch
all that he hath,
and
he
will curse
thee
to
thy face.
*
*
. . . and said,
Skin for skin,
yea,
all that a man hath
will
he give
for his life.
But put forth thine
hand now,
and touch his bone and his flesh,
and he will curse thee to thy face.
And the Lord
said
unto Satan,
Behold,
*
and
the darkness he called Night. And the evening
and the morning were the first day.
*
h e
is in
thine hand;
but save
his life.

And
the Lord God planted a garden eastward in
Eden; and there
he put
the man whom he
had formed.
And
out of the ground made the Lord God
to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and
good for food;
the
tree
of
life also in the midst
of the garden, and the tree of
knowledge of good and evil.
*
He is gone up to Bajith, and to
Dibon, the high places,
to weep:
Moab shall howl over
Nebo,
and over Medeba:
on all their heads shall be baldness,
and every beard cut off.
In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth:
on the tops of their houses,
and in their streets,
every one shall
howl, weeping abundantly.
And Heshbon shall cry,
and Elealeh:
their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz:
therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out;
his life shall be grievous unto him.
My heart shall cry out for Moab;
his fugitives shall
flee unto Zoar,
an heifer of three years old:
*
For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate:
for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth,
there is no green thing.
Therefore the abundance they have
gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall
they carry away to the brook of the willows.
