The Divide IX

This prophecy IS being fulfilled
now
Aaron

And it shall be upon Aaron to minister:
and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he cometh out,
that he die not.
And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the Lord.
And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.
And for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats,
and thou shalt make for them girdles,
and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother,
and his sons with him;
and shalt anoint them,
and consecrate them,
and sanctify them,
that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.
***

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together,
and made themselves aprons.
***
And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons,
when they come in unto the tabernacle of the congregation,
or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holy place;
that they bear not iniquity, and die:
it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.

In the meantime the son of Moses the, waters are keepers of the House of the Lord, the Law?
***
And Jeroboam the son of Nebat, an Ephrathite of Zereda, Solomon's servant,
whose mother's name was Zeruah,
a widow woman,
even he lifted up his hand against the king. . . .
. . . Solomon sought therefore to kill Jeroboam.
And Jeroboam arose, and fled into Egypt, unto Shishak king of Egypt, and was in Egypt until the death of Solomon.
And the rest of the acts of Solomon, and all that he did, and his wisdom,
are they not written in the book of the acts of Solomon?
And the time that Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel was forty years.
And Solomon slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David his father: and Rehoboam his son reigned in his stead.
And Rehoboam went to Shechem: for all Israel were come to Shechem to make him king.
And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was yet in Egypt, heard of it, (for he was fled from the presence of king Solomon, and Jeroboam dwelt in Egypt;)
That they sent and called him. And Jeroboam and all the congregation of Israel came, and spake unto Rehoboam, saying,
Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore make thou the grievous service of thy father, and his heavy yoke which he put upon us, lighter, and we will serve thee.
And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.
And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people?
And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.
But he forsook the counsel of the old men, which they had given him, and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him, and which stood before him:
And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?
And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.
And now whereas my father did lade you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke: my father hath chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king had appointed, saying, Come to me again the third day.
And the king answered the people roughly, and forsook the old men's counsel that they gave him;
And spake to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, and I will add to your yoke: my father also chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.
Wherefore the king hearkened not unto the people; for the cause was from the Lord, that he might perform his saying, which the Lord spake by Ahijah the Shilonite unto Jeroboam the son of Nebat.
So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.
***
Command the children
of Israel,

that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in;
and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.
And the cities shall they have to dwell in;
and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle,
and for their goods,
and for all their beasts.
***
And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance,
at the commandment of the Lord, these cities and their suburbs.
***
And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their coasts.
For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession,
and came to Judah and Jerusalem:
for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest's office unto the Lord:
And he ordained him priests for the high places,
and for the devils,
and for the calves which he had made.
And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the Lord God of Israel came to Jerusalem,
to sacrifice unto the Lord God of their fathers.
So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah,
and made Rehoboam the son of Solomon strong,
three years:
for three years they walked in the way of David and Solomon.
***
And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah,
which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel,
that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.
And at the end of three years they took it:
even in the sixth year of Hezekiah,
that is the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel,
Samaria was taken.
And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan,
and in the cities of the Medes:
Because they obeyed not the voice of the Lord their God,
but transgressed his covenant, and all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded,
and would not hear them,
nor do them.

And Jacob called unto his sons,
and said,
Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.
Gather yourselves together,
and hear,
ye sons of Jacob;
and hearken unto Israel your father.
