and would
not go in
Thy
brother is come
*****
And Abraham ran
unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young
man; and he hasted
to dress it.
***
And
he received
them at their hand, and fashioned it
with
a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods,
O
Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
*****
and
thy
father hath killed the fatted calf,
*****
But of the
fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the
garden, God hath said,
Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And the
serpent said unto
the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
***
I was
not in safety,
neither
had
I
rest,
neither
was I quiet;
yet
trouble came.
***
Ye shall not therefore oppress one
another;
but thou shalt fear thy God:
for I am the Lord your God.
Wherefore
ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments,
and do them;
and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
*****
because - he hath received him safe . .
*
And
it shall be upon Aaron
to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth
in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he
cometh
out, that he die not.
*
. . . and
sound.
*****
and Moses' anger waxed hot,
and
he cast
the tables out of his hands,
and
brake them beneath the mount.
**
And
Moses - told it unto Aaron, and
to his sons, and unto all
the children of Israel.
And
the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak
unto Aaron and to his sons,
that they separate themselves
from
the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my
holy
name in those things which they
hallow
unto me:
I
am
the Lord.
Say
unto them,
Whosoever he be of all your seed among your
generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the
children of Israel hallow unto the Lord, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from - my presence:
I
am
the Lord.
And
the Lord's anger was kindled the same time, and he
sware, saying,
Surely
none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the land which I sware unto
Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me:
*****
And he was angry,
and
would not go in:
*****
therefore
came his father
out,
and intreated him.
