Nahor - lived
after

he begat Terah an hundred and nineteen years, and
begat sons and daughters.

Noah was five hundred years old: and
Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japhseth.

And
Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram,
Nahor, and Haran.
Now
these are the generations of Terah: Terah
begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.

And
Abram and Nahor - took them wives: the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; and the name of Nahor's wife, Milcah, the daughter of Haran, the father of Milcah, and the father of Iscah.

And
Haran died - before
his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur
of the Chaldees.

After
these things the
word of the
Lord came unto Abram in a vision,
saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy
shield,
and thy exceeding great reward.
And
Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me,
seeing I
go childless,
and the
steward of my house
is this Eliezer of Damascus?
And
Abram said, Behold, to me - thou
hast given no seed: and, lo,
one born in my house is mine heir.
And,
behold, the word of the Lord came unto him,
saying, This shall not be thine heir;
but he that shall come forth out
of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
And
he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look
now
toward heaven, and tell the stars,
if thou be able to
number them: and he
said
unto him, So shall thy
seed
be.

And
it came to pass - after these
things, that it
was told
Abraham, saying, Behold, Milcah, she hath also
born children
unto thy
brother Nahor;
Huz his firstborn,
and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram,
**
Milcah, she hath also born children
unto thy brother Nahor;
**
And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and
Jidlaph, and Bethuel.
And
Bethuel
begat - Rebekah: these eight Milcah did bear to Nahor,
Abraham's brother.

And
Abraham
was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.
And
Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house,
that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, - thy hand under
my thigh:
And
I
will make thee swear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the
God of the earth, that thou shalt not
take
a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
But
thou shalt go unto my country,
and to my kindred,
and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

brother's daughter unto his son.
