And the
Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and
breathed into his nostrils the breath
of life; and
man
became a living soul.
And
God made the firmament, and divided the waters
which were under the
firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
window
shalt thou make
to the ark, and in a cubit
shalt thou finish it above;
and the door of the ark
shalt thou set in the side
there-of; with lower, second,
and third stories shalt thou make it.
And
he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.
And
the Spirit of God - moved -upon the face of the waters.
Al-so he
sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
But
the dove found no rest for the sole
of her foot, and she
returned unto him in-to the ark,
for the waters were on the face of the whole
earth: then he put forth his hand,
and took her, and pulled her in unto him in-to the ark.
And
he stayed yet other seven days; and again he
sent forth the dove out of the ark;
And
the dove came in to him in
- the evening; -and, lo,
in her mouth was an o-live
leaf plucked off: so
Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
And
the Lord God said unto the
serpent, Because
thou hast done this, thou – art - cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy
belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
In
the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou taken:
for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
