And the multitude
said, This is RAheme the prophet of
Nazareth of Galilee.
Abram
***
Noah was a just man and perfect in his
generations, and Noah walked with God.
***
And when Abram was ninety years old and nine,
the Lord appeared to Abram, and said
unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou
perfect.
***
He
was a mighty hunter before the Lord:
wherefore it is said, Even as Abram the mighty hunter before the Lord.
***
And Hagar bare Abram a son: and Abram called his son's name, which
Hagar bare, Ishmael.
***
And, behold, I,
even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to
destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that
is in the earth shall die
***
And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
And
he said, I heard
thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
And
he said, Who
told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou
eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest
not eat?
And
the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
***
And unto Adam he
said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and
hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee,
saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed
is the ground for thy sake; in
sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
***
Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out
this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.
And the thing
was very grievous in Abraham's sight
because of his son.
***
And Ishmael went
out from the presence of the Lord
***
They
were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and
also a reproach.
The burden
of the beasts of the south: into the land
of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will
carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a
people that shall not profit them.
***
And the vessels
also of gold and silver of the house
of God, which Nebuchadnezzar took
out of the temple that was in Jerusalem, and brought them into the temple of Babylon, those did Cyrus the king take out of the temple of Babylon,
and they were delivered unto one, whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had
made governor;
And said unto
him, Take these vessels, go,
carry them into the temple that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be builded in his place.
*****
And RAheme went
into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew
the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves,
And
said
unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.
*****
And God set
them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to
rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the
darkness: and God saw that it was good.
***
***
The stone which the builders refused is become the
head stone of the corner.
***
Who
hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who
hath stretched the line upon it?
Whereupon
are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;
***
It
is
he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword.
Rid
me,
and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity,
and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:
That our sons
may be as plants grown up in their youth;
that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the
similitude of a palace:
***
And he
said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou
lovest, and get thee into the land
of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering
upon one of the mountains which I will
tell thee of.
And Abraham rose
up early in the morning, and saddled
his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son,
and clave the wood for the burnt offering,
and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.
Then
on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes, and saw the place afar off.
***
And the Lord
set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.
***
carry them into
the temple that is in Jerusalem,
and let the house of God be builded in his place.
*****
And
seeing the multitudes,
he went up into a mountain: and when he
was set, - - -his disciples came unto him:
*****
And Noah was five
hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem,
Ham, and Japheth. . . .And Noah awoke from his
wine, . . .
***
The sons
of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and
Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz,
***
There was a
man in the land of Uz, whose
name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
After this
opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.
And Job spake,
and said,
*****
And he
opened - - -his mouth, and taught them, saying,
*****
Isaac
as was, his mother Sarah, is very fair, Rebekah as her grand uncle Abraham is of
color
And
Isaac brought her
into his mother Sarah's tent, and took
Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his
mother's death.
***
And, behold, seven other kine came up after
them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I
never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
***
for we
have seen his star in the east, and are come
to worship him.
*****
Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs
is the kingdom of heaven.
*****
And
forty days were fulfilled
for him; for so are fulfilled the days
of those which are embalmed: and the Egyptians
mourned for him threescore and ten days. . . .
And they
came to the threshingfloor of Atad,
which is beyond Jordan, and there they mourned with a great and
very sore lamentation; and he made
a mourning for his father seven days. . . .
And when the inhabitants
of the land, the Canaanites, saw
the mourning in the floor of Atad, they said, This is a grievous mourning to the Egyptians:
wherefore the name of it was called Abelmizraim, which is beyond
Jordan.
*****
And he
opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
Blessed
are
they that mourn: for they shall be
comforted.
*****
(Now the
man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)
*****
Blessed are the
meek: for they shall inherit the
earth.
*****
That thou
mayest say to the prisoners, Go forth; to them that are in darkness,
Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures
shall be in all high places.
They
shall not hunger nor thirst; neither
shall the heat nor sun smite them: for
he that hath mercy on them shall lead
them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
And I
will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be
exalted.
*****
Blessed
are
they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed
are
the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
*****
Who
shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or
who shall stand in his holy place?
He
that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
*****
Blessed
are
the pure in heart: for they shall
see God.
*****
For unto us
a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name
shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
*****
Blessed
are
the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
*****
Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted
the poor and needy man, that he might
even slay the broken in heart.
As he loved
cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.
***
Blessed
are
they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of
heaven.
*****
Ye
And God made
the firmament, and divided the
waters which were under the
firmament from the waters which were
above the firmament: and it was so.
So
ye
shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed
of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.
***
And
Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and
Zillah, Hear my voice; - - -ye wives of Lamech,
hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my
wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
*****
Blessed
are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute
you, and shall say all manner of
evil against you falsely, for my
sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding
glad: for great is your reward
in heaven: for so
persecuted
they the prophets which were before
you.
you.
*****
All these
were joined together in the vale of Siddim, which is the salt sea.
**
But his
wife looked back from behind him,
and she became a pillar of salt.
*****
Ye
are
the salt of the earth: but if the salt have
lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
*****
Yea,
the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
***
Ye
are
the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill
cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all
that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father
which is in heaven.
*****
And Cush begat Nimrod:
. . .He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod
the mighty hunter before the Lord.
*****
Think not that I
am come to destroy the law, or
the prophets: I am not come to destroy,
but to fulfil.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth
pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no
wise pass from the law, till all be
fulfilled.
*****
whosoever
And the Lord
said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance
shall be taken on him sevenfold.
***
And God said,
Let there be light: and there was light.
***
and I buried
her there in the way of Ephrath; the
same is Bethlehem.
*****
Whosoever
therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach
men so,
he shall be called the least in the
kingdom of heaven: but whosoever
shall do and teach them, the same
shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Samuel
