Eve
And
she
said,
What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest
come in unto me?
And he said, I
will send thee a kid from the flock. And
she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till
thou send
it?
And
he
said, What pledge shall I
give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets,
and thy staff that is
in
thine hand. And he gave it her,
and came in unto her,
and she conceived
by him.
And
she
arose,
and went away, and laid by
her
veil from her, and put on
the garments of her widowhood.
**
Judah,
thou
art
he
whom
thy brethren
shall
praise:
thy
hand
shall be in the neck of thine enemies;
*
And Terah lived seventy
years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
Now
these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and
Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
*
thy
father's
children
shall
bow down before
thee.
*
Their
roaring shall be like a lion,
they shall
roar like young lions:
yea,
they shall roar,
and lay hold
of the prey,
and shall
carry it away safe,
and none
shall deliver it.
*
Judah
is
a lion's whelp:
from
the
prey,
my
son,
thou art gone up: he
stooped down, he couched as a lion, and
as an old lion; who
shall rouse him up?
The
sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from
between
his feet, until Shiloh
come; and unto him shall the gathering
of
the people be.
*
And
he
said unto them, Hear, I
pray you, this dream which I
have dreamed:
For,
behold, we were binding sheaves
in the field, and, lo, my sheaf
arose, and also stood upright;
and, behold, your sheaves
stood round about, and made obeisance
to my sheaf.
*
Binding
his
foal unto the vine, and his ass's
colt unto the choice vine; he washed
his garments in wine, and
his clothes in the blood of
grapes:
His eyes
shall be red with wine, and his teeth white
with milk.
