Law an Justice. My covenant

Now therefore,
O Lord God of Israel,

keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him,
saying,
There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel;
yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law,
as thou hast walked before me.

Now then,
O Lord God of Israel, let thy word be verified,
which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.

But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth?
behold,
heaven (So) - and the heaven (Yea) - of heavens (Me) - cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!
Have respect therefore to the prayer of thy servant,
and to his supplication,

O Lord my God,
to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:
That thine eyes may be open upon this house day - and night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there;
to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

***

And he brought me into the inner court of the Lord's house,
and,
behold,
at the door of the temple of the Lord, - between the porch - and the altar, were about five and twenty men,
with their backs - toward the temple of the Lord,
and their faces toward the east;
and they - worshipped the sun - toward the east.
**
And I will remember my covenant,
which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh;
and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

**

And God said,
Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle,
and creeping thing,
and beast of the earth after his kind:
and it was so.
**
And out of the ground - made - the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight,
and good - for food;
the tree of life also in the midst of the garden,
and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
*
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind,
and cattle after their kind,
and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind:
and - God saw - that it was good.
**
And God said,
Let us - make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let – them (not man) - have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air,
and over the cattle,
and over all the earth,
and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
**
And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden;
and there he put the - man whom he had - formed. (it was so)
**
And the man said,
The workman whom thou gavest to be with me,
she gave me of the tree,
and I did eat.
**
And Adam knew his wife again;
and she bare a son,
and called his name Seth:
For God,
said she,
hath appointed me an-other seed instead of Abel,
whom Cain slew.
And to Seth,
to him also there was born a son;
and he called his name Enos: then - began men - to call upon the name of the Lord.
**
And the Lord said,

I will destroy man - whom I have - created - from the face - of the earth;

**
And they were both naked,
the man - and his wife,
and were not ashamed.
**
I have created from the face - of the earth;
both man,
and beast,
and the creeping thing,
and the fowls of the air;
for it repenteth me that I have made them.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of - the Lord.
**
And of every living thing of all flesh,
two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark,
**
in the image of God - created he - him;
male - and female created he them.
**
to keep them alive - with thee;
they shall be male and female.
Of fowls after their kind,
and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind,
two of every sort shall come unto thee,
to keep them alive.
**
And Noah went in, and his sons,
and his wife,
and his sons' wives with him, into the ark,
**
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
**
because of the waters of the flood.
Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean,
and of fowls,
and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,
**
They,
and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind,
and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.
And all flesh died that moved upon the earth,
both of fowl,
and of cattle,
and of beast,
and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth,
and every man:
**
. . . and there was not a man to till the ground.
**
And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground,
both man,
and cattle,
and the creeping things,
and the fowl of the heaven;
and they were destroyed from the earth:
**
. . .  Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations,
and Noah walked with God.
**

and Noah only remained alive,
and they that were with him in the ark.
**
Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee,
of all flesh,
both of fowl,
and of cattle,
and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth;
that they may breed abundantly in the earth,

and be fruitful,
and multiply upon the earth.

And Noah went forth,

and his sons, (Ham, Japheth)
and his wife, (Shem)
**
And Lamech took unto him two wives:
the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.
And Adah bare Jabal:
he was the father of such as dwell in tents,
and of such as have cattle.
And his brother's name was Jubal:
he was the father of all such as handle the harp - and organ.

And Zillah,
she also bare Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron:
Naamah.
Daughter of Adah (fair)
             Is taken to wife of     Tubalcain (Dark)

and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah,

Hear my voice;
ye wives of Lamech,

hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding,
and a young man to my hurt.
If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.
**
and his sons' wives with him:

Every beast,
every creeping thing,
and every fowl,
and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth,
after their kinds,
went forth out of the ark.
And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord;
and took of every clean beast,
and of every clean fowl,
and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
**
And his father Isaac said unto him,
Come near now,
and kiss me,
my son.
And he came near,
and kissed him:
and he smelled - the smell of his raiment,
and blessed him,
and said,
See,
the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the Lord hath blessed:
**
And the Lord smelled a sweet savour;
and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake;
**
Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword,
and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
Thou hast made his glory to cease,
and cast his throne down to the ground.
The days of his youth hast thou shortened:
thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
**
for the imagination of man's heart is d-evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat,
and summer and winter,
and day and night shall not cease.
And God blessed Noah - and his sons,

and said unto them,

Be fruitful,
and multiply,
and replenish the earth.

And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth,
and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth,
and upon all the fishes of the sea;
into your hand - are they delivered.
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you;
even as the green herb have I given you all things.
But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof,
shall ye not eat.
And surely your blood of your lives will I require;
at the hand of every beast will I require it,
and at the hand of man;
at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed:
for in the image of God made he man.
And you,
be ye fruitful,
and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth,
and multiply therein.

And God spake unto Noah,
and to his sons with him,
saying,
                       And I, behold,
I establish my covenant with you,
and with your seed after you;
And with every living creature that is with you,
of the fowl,
of the cattle,
and of every beast of the earth with you;
from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
And I will establish my covenant with you;
neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood;
neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.

And God said,

This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you,
for perpetual generations:

**
But there went up a mist from the earth,
and watered the whole face of the ground.
**
My root was spread out by the waters,
and the dew lay all night upon my branch.

My glory was fresh in me,
and my bow was renewed in my hand.
Unto me men gave ear,
and waited,
and kept silence at my counsel.
After my words they spake not again;
and my speech dropped upon them.
And they waited for me as for the rain;
and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

**
I do set my bow in the cloud,
and it shall be for a token of a covenant - between me - and the earth.

And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth,
that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
And I will remember my covenant,
which is between me - and you - and every living creature of all flesh;
and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
And the bow shall be in the cloud;
and I will look upon it,
that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.

And God said unto Noah,

This is the token of the covenant,
which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

And the sons of Noah,
that went - forth of the ark, were Shem, (His wife)
And the sons of Noah
and Ham,
and Japheth:
and Ham is the father of Canaan.

These are the three sons of Noah:
and of them was the whole earth overspread.
And Noah - began - to be an husbandman,
and he planted a vineyard:
