And
the Lord God formed man of the dust
of the ground,
and
breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a
living soul.
***
And
Cain knew
his wife; and she
conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded
a city, and called the name of the city,
after the name of his son, Enoch.
***
And
God said,
Let
the earth bring forth grass,
the herb
yielding seed,
and
the fruit tree yielding
fruit after
his kind,
whose seed is in it-self,
upon the earth:
and
it was so.
***
And
Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air,
and
to every beast of the field;
but for Adam there was not found
- an help meet for him.
And
the Lord God said,
It
is not good that the man should be alone; I
will make him an
help
meet for him.
***
And
Enoch walked
with God after
- he begat Methuselah three hundred
years, and begat sons and daughters:
And
all the days
of
Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
And
Enoch walked with God:
and
he was not;
for
God took him.
**
And
God saw that the wickedness of man
was great
in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts
of his heart was only d-evil continually.
And
it repented the Lord that he had made
man on
the earth, and it grieved
him at his heart.
And
the Lord said,
I
will destroy -
man whom
I have created from
the face
of
the earth; both man, and beast,
and
the creeping
thing,
and
the fowls
of
the air;
for it repenteth me that I
have made them.
***
And
the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that
they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
***
But
Noah
found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Excerpted from American Heritage Talking Dictionary
These
are the generations of Noah:
Noah was a just man - and perfect in
his generations,
and
Noah walked with God.
And
Noah begat three sons,
Shem,
(his wife)
Ham, and Japheth.
**
O earth,
cover not thou my
blood, and let my
cry
have no place.
Also now,
behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record
is on high.
My
friends scorn me: but mine eye
poureth out tears unto God.
O that one
might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour! When a few years are come, then
I shall go
the way whence I
shall not
return. My breath
is corrupt,
my days
are extinct, the graves are ready for me.
**
The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.
And
God looked upon the earth, and,
behold,
it was corrupt;
for all flesh
had corrupted his way upon the earth.
And
God (Shem, Ethiopian father) said unto
Noah,
The end of all
flesh is come before me;
for the earth is filled with violence through them;
and,
behold,
I
will
destroy them with
the earth.
So he drove out the man;
and
he placed at
the east of the garden
of
Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which
turned every
way,
to keep the way
of the tree of life.
**
If
thou doest
well, shalt thou not be accepted? and
if thou
doest not well, - sin lieth
at the door.
And
unto thee
shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
