Nimrod he beginning

And the

Lord God

formed man

of

the dust

of

the

ground,

and breathed

into

his

nostrils

the breath of life;

and man became a living soul.

*

In

Six Days

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. . .

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The Waters

above the firmament

Adam, Sheth, Enosh,

Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,

Adam

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

the first day.

Seth

And God said, Let there be a firmament in the

 midst of the waters,

and let it divide the waters from the waters.

 the second day.

And Cain

an

His wives

knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.

And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah.

And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.

And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ.

And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.

And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

Enos

And God said, Let the waters under

the heaven

be gathered together unto one place,

and let the dry land appear:

and it was so.

And the evening and the morning were the

third day.

Cainan

Let there be lights in the firmament

of the heaven

to divide the day from the night;

and let them be for signs,

and for seasons, and for days, and years:

fourth day.

Mahalaleel

And God said,

Let the waters bring forth abundantly

the moving creature that hath life,

and fowl that may fly above the earth

in the open

firmament of heaven.

fifth day.

Jared

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished,

and all the host of them.

And on the seventh day

God ended his work

which he had made;

and he rested on the

seventh day

from all his work which he had made.

And God blessed

The

 seventh day,

and sanctified it:

because that in it he had rested

from all his work

which God created and made.

These are

the

generations of the heavens

 and of

the

earth when they were created,

*

And he

called

his

name

Noah,

saying,

This same

shall comfort

us

concerning

our

work

and toil

of

our hands,

because

of the ground which

the

Lord hath cursed.

*

Noah

was a just man

and perfect in

his generations,

and Noah walked with

God.

*

And the beginning

of

his

kingdom was Babel,

and Erech,

and Accad,

and Calneh,

*

There

*

in the land

sons of Ham;

Cush,

and Mizraim,

Put,

and Canaan.

And

the sons

of

Cush;

Seba,

and Havilah,

and Sabta,

and Raamah,

and Sabtecha.

And the sons

of

Raamah;

Sheba,

and Dedan.

*

In the

beginning

God created

she heaven

and the earth.

And the earth was without form,

and void;

and darkness was upon

the face

of

the deep.

And the Spirit

of

God moved

upon the

face

of

the waters.

And God said,

Let there

be

light:

and there was light.

And God saw

the light,

that it was good:

and God divided

the light

from

the deep

the darkness.

And God

called

the

light Day,

and the darkness

he

called Night.

And the evening

and the

morning were

the

first day.

*

So God

created man

in

his

own image,

in the image

of God

created he him;

*

And God said,

Let the waters bring forth abundantly

the moving creature

that hath life,

 and fowl

that may fly above the earth

in the open

firmament of heaven.

*

That

*

And

God

saw

the light

*

 the sons

of

God

saw

the daughters

of

men

that they

were fair;

and they took them wives

of all

which they chose.

And the Lord said,

My spirit

shall not always strive with man,

for

that he

also

is

flesh:

yet

his days

 shall be

an hundred

and twenty years.

     and also after that,

when the

sons of

*Yea

God

came in unto

the daughters

of men,

and they bare children to them,

the same

became

mighty men which were

of old,

men of renown.

***

And the land

shall

yield

her fruit,

and ye shall eat your fill,

and dwell therein

in safety.

And if ye shall say,

What shall we eat the seventh year?

behold,

we shall not sow,

nor gather

in

our increase:

Then

I

will command

my

blessing upon you in the sixth year,

and

it

shall bring

forth fruit

for three years.

And ye shall sow

the

eighth year,

and eat yet

of

old fruit

until the ninth year;

until her fruits come

in ye

shall eat of the old store.

The land shall not be sold

for ever:

for the land is mine;

for

ye are strangers

and sojourners with me.

And in all the land

of

your possession

ye shall grant a redemption

for the land.

**

And Cush begat Nimrod:

Nimrod

he

began

to be

to

be

a

mighty

one

*

For then will

I

turn to the people

a

pure language,

that they

may all call upon

the name

of

the

Lord

Immanuel

to serve

him

with one consent.

*

in the

earth.

And

the beginning

of

his kingdom was Babel,

And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters.

His substance also was seven thousand sheep,

and three thousand camels,

and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses,

and a very great household;

so

that

this man was the greatest of all the men of the east.

they came

every one

from

his

own place;

and Zophar the Naamathite: for they had made an appointment together to come to mourn with him and to comfort him.

and Erech,

and Accad,

and Calneh,

in the land of Shinar.
