Webster’s dictionary definition of defile as follows: To make filthy or dirty; pollute: defile a river with sewage. 2. To debase the pureness or excellence of; corrupt:

However the scriptures does not define defile as such, rather it describes the name of he born not of the father that name is defiled and is not listed with the fathers as was the name of the child of Dinah.

Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in - their habitations.

O my soul, come not thou into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not thou united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their selfwill they digged down a wall.

And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.

  And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.

And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out:

and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.

And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The Lord make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:

And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the Lord shall give thee of this young woman.

The Christ

  Judah, thou art he whom thy brethren shall praise: thy hand shall be in the neck of thine enemies; thy father's children shall bow down before thee.

Dan shall be a serpent by the way,

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.

Yea,

  The blessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the utmost bound of the everlasting hills: they shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
