Time thoughts
And
God said,
Let
there be a firmament
in the midst of the waters,
and
let it divide
the waters
from
the waters.
And
God made
the firmament,
and divided the waters
which
were under
the firmament from the waters which were above
the firmament:
and
it was so.
***
And
Adam
said,
This
is now bone of my
bones,
and
flesh of
my flesh:
she shall be called
Woman,
because she was taken
out of Man.
**
And
the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils
the breath of life;
and
man became - a living soul.
***
In
the sweat
of
thy face shalt thou eat bread,
till
thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou - taken:
for
dust thou art,
and
unto dust shalt thou
return.
***
Therefore shall a man leave his father and
his mother,
and
shall cleave
unto his wife: and they
shall be
one flesh.
And
they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed
***
Shem,
Wife of Noah mother
to Ham a descendent of Zillah, the other wife of Lamach. Zillah she also
bare Tubalcain, who took to wife Naamah, daughter of Adah, one of the two wives of Lamech:
Japheth a
descendent of Jabal who Adah bare:
Jubal who was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle.
Shem is the mother of Ham the brother
of Japheth.
**
He
divideth the sea with - his power,
and
by his understanding - he
smiteth
through the proud.
By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens;
his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.
Lo,
these are
parts of his ways:
but
how little a portion is heard of him?
but the thunder of his power who
can understand?
***
Unto Shem also,
the father
of
all the children of Eber,
the brother of Japheth the elder,
. . .And
unto Eber were born
two sons:
the name of one
was
Peleg;
for
in his days
was
the earth
divided;
and - his brother's name was Joktan.
And
Joktan begat Almodad,
and
Sheleph, . . .
. . . And . . .:
all these were
the sons
of Joktan.
And
their dwelling was from Mesha,
as
thou goest unto Sephar a
mount of the east.
**
These are
the sons
of
Shem,
after their families,
after their tongues,
in
their lands,
after their
nations.
These are the families
of
the
sons of Noah,
after
their generations,
in
their nations:
and
by
these were the
nations
divided
in
the earth after the flood.
And
the whole
earth was of one language,
and
of one speech.
*
And
Noah began
to be an
husbandman,
**
And
God called
the
light Day,
and
the darkness he
called
Night.
**
and
he planted a vineyard:
***
And
the sons
of
Ham;
Cush, and Mizraim,
and
Phut,
and Canaan.
***
and the darkness he called
Night.
**
He is wise
in heart,
and mighty in strength:
who
hath hardened himself against him,
and hath prospered?
Which removeth
the mountains, and they know not:
which overturneth
them in his anger.
Which shaketh the
earth out of her place,
and the
pillars thereof tremble. Which commandeth
the sun,
and it riseth
not;
and sealeth up the stars.
Which
alone spreadeth
out the heavens,
and
treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
Which maketh
Arcturus,
Orion,
and
Pleiades,
**
The
burden of the desert of the sea.
As
whirlwinds in the south pass
through;
so
it cometh
from the desert, from a terrible land.
**
I will say to the north,
Give up;
and
to the south,
Keep not back:
bring
my sons from far,
and
my daughters from the ends of the earth;
Even
every one that
is called by my name:
for
I
have created him for my glory,
I have
formed him;
yea,
I
have made him.
Bring
forth the blind people that have eyes,
and
the deaf that have ears.
Let
all the nations
be
gathered
together,
and
let the people be assembled:
who
among them can declare this,
and
shew us former things?
let them bring forth their witnesses,
that they may be justified:
or let them hear,
and
say,
It
is
truth.
Ye are
my witnesses,
saith
the
Lord @ISamuelyeaOn,
and
my servant whom I have chosen:
that
ye may know
and believe me,
and
understand
that
I am he:
before
me there was no God formed,
neither shall
there be
after me.
I,
even
I,
am
the Lord
@ISamuelyea;
and
beside - me
there is no saviour.
I
have declared,
and
have saved,
and
I have shewed,
when
there was no strange god among you:
therefore
ye are
my witnesses, saith the
Lord
@ISamuelOn,
that
@ISamuelyeaonamallahopia
am
God.
Yea,
before
the day
was
I am he;
and
there is
none that can deliver out of my hand:
I will work,
and
who shall let it?
***
and
the chambers of the south.
Which doeth great things past finding
out;
yea,
and
wonders without number.
Lo,
he
goeth
by me,
and
I see him not:
he
passeth on
also,
but
I
perceive him not.
Behold,
he taketh away,
who
can hinder him?
who
will say unto him,
What
doest thou?
If
God
will not withdraw his anger,
the proud
helpers
do stoop under him.
How much less shall I
answer him,
and
choose out my words to reason with
him?
Whom, though I
were righteous, yet would I
not answer,
but I would make supplication to my
judge.
If I had called,
and
he had answered me;
yet
would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice.
For he breaketh me with a tempest,
and
multiplieth my wounds without cause.
He
will
not suffer me to
take my
breath,
but
filleth me with bitterness.
If I
speak of strength,
lo,
he is strong:
and
if of judgment,
who
shall set me a
time
to plead?
If I
justify myself,
mine
own mouth shall
condemn me:
if I say,
I am perfect,
it
shall also prove me
perverse.
Though I were perfect,
yet would I not
know my
soul:
I would despise my
life.
This
is one
thing,
therefore I said it,
He destroyeth the perfect
-
and
the wicked.
***
And
he drank
of the wine,
and was drunken;
***
And Cush begat
Nimrod:
**
and he was uncovered within his tent.
***
Nimrod
he began to be a mighty one
in
the earth.
**
And
Ham,
the father
of
Canaan,
saw
the nakedness
of his father,
***
And
unto Eber
were born
two sons:
the name of one was Peleg;
for
in his days
was the earth
divided;
and - his brother's name
was Joktan.
**
And they were both naked,
the man - and
his wife,
and
were not ashamed
***
and
told his two
brethren without.
