It's all in the imagination III

But man dieth, and wasteth away
***
And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
***
yea
yea, man giveth up the ghost, and where is he? As the waters fail from the sea, and the flood decayeth and drieth up: So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

*****
And the Spirit of God (So) moved upon the face of the waters.
***
So God created man in his own image,
*****
There were giants in the earth in those days;
**
he made the -- stars - also.
*
And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
And to rule over the day - and over the night,
*
and to divide the light from the darkness:
and God saw that it was good.
And God said, Let there be light:
and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good:
and God divided the light - from - the darkness.
***
and also -- after that,
*****
And to Seth, to him also - there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then - began men to call upon the name of the Lord.
*
when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men,
and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, - men of renown.
***
And God said, Let us make man in our image, - after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

***
And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
And I will put enmity between thee and the work-man, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

***
And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
***
And they said, Go to, let us build us a city - and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven;
and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
***
And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
***
So the Lord scattered them abroad - from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they - left - off to build the city.
Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did - there confound the language of all the earth: and from - thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.
These are the generations of Shem:
***
And the earth was without form, and void;
andarkness was upon the face of the deep.
*
And God saw the light, that it was good:
and God divided the light from the darkness.
*
And God called the light Day,
and the darkness he called Night.
*
And to rule over the day - and over the night,
and to divide the light from the darkness:
*
And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
And he divided himself against them, he and his servants, by night,
*
These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood:
And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
And Arphaxad lived five and thirty years, and begat Salah:
And Arphaxad lived after he begat Salah four hundred and three years, and begat sons and daughters.
And Salah lived thirty years, and begat Eber:
***
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.. . .
***
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,
And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.
Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,
Eber, Peleg, Reu,
Serug, Nahor, Terah,
Abram; the same is Abraham.

***
And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, - after his image; and called his name Seth:
***
Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
***
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
He was a mighty hunter - before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel,
***
And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the Chaldees.
***
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
***
And Abram and Nahor took them wives:

***
And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
***
. . . Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, . . .
***
And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.
***
And Abram and Nahor took them wives: . . .the name of Abram's wife was Sarai; . . .But Sarai was barren; she had no child.

It’s all in the imagination II

It’s all in the imagination II

And the Spirit of (So) God moved upon the face of the waters.
***
And we said unto my lord, The lad cannot leave his father: for if he should leave his father, his father would die.
And thou saidst unto thy servants, Except your youngest brother come down with you, ye shall see my face no more.
***
And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.
And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.

***
And I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evils which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto other gods.

Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.

For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant.

And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

Moses therefore wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.

***
Then again Abraham took a wife, and her name was Keturah.
And she bare him Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah.
***

And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.

It’s all in the imagination

It’s all in the imagination

But those that encamp before the tabernacle toward the east, even before the tabernacle of the congregation eastward, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the charge of the sanctuary for the charge of the children of Israel; and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

*****
And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only d-evil - - continually.
***
And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. . . .
But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.
And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark;
And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
***
And the Lord smelled a sweet savour; and the Lord said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is d-evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living -  as I have done.

***
Wilt thou break a leaf driven to and fro? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble? For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to possess the iniquities of my youth.
***
And ye have seen their abominations, and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)
Lest there should be among you man, or work-man, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the Lord our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
***
And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware.

***
O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Is-ra-el, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.
And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king.

Imagine

It’s all in the imagination

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only d-evil - - continually.
***

But with him that standeth here with us this day before the Lord our God, and also with him that is not here with us this day:
(For ye know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by;

Yea, hath God said,
Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
And the workman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

*
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones,
and flesh of my flesh:
*
And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not:
Am I my brother's keeper?
*
And Cain said unto the Lord, My punishment is greater than I can bear.
*
And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah.
And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob,
and also my covenant with Isaac,
and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
*
And the serpent said unto the workman, Ye shall not surely die:
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
*
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
(For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

This day be not thou east deceived nor dismayed but understand. Everything in the earth this day the seventh day, is a culmination of  millenniums of  the imagination  that has formed for them a world held together by spider webs.

They seek after peace but where have they laid peace foundations where peace can be risen up so high its spire reaches into heaven? They build walls of safety using paper for stone and bullets for mortar.   They clothe themselves in garments of lies and crown him with a diadem of golden deceit they all  bow down to the god they made and say, he will save us with him we shall prevail.
**
For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the Lord of hosts.
Therefore the Lord will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day.
The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail.
For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.
Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
